16 golden stairs from our run on Pikes Peak today. The "16 golden stairs" begin about half a mile from the summit of Pikes Peak--in actuality it is 32 switchbacks to the summit from the "16 Golden Stairs" sign. I ran a 3-2-1 (run down from the summit to 3 miles to go, run back to the top, run down to the 2 miles to go sign, back to the summit, run down to the 1 mile to go sign, back to the summit), this is a great workout at altitude--12 miles of running all above 12,000 feet elevation.
