Yesterday morning in my first run of the season up Cheyenne Canyon Road, a Thursday morning mainstay of the C.R.U.D. (Coloradans Running Ultra Distances) running club, I ran it 1 minute 41 seconds faster than I had ever run it before! It's a relentlessly steep grade (7%) that climbs about 1500 feet in 4.2 miles of pavement and graded road. My time was 36:01.
